Cotonaster microphyllus
Evergreen short shrub. 30 to 100cm high.
Leathery leaves, obovate or oblong
obovate. Single flower, rarely 2 to 3,
white. Red fruit, 5¡«6cm in
diameter. Flowering: May to June.
Fruiting: Aug to Sept. Heliophiles.
Drought tolerant. South and southeast
Tibet, 2500 to 4500m, shrubland,
forestedge. Sichuan, Yunnan, Himalayas and
Europe.
