Seniors' China Tour

Located in the JizHong plain of HeBei Province, BaoDing is 125 Km north of the capital of HeBei Province, ShiJiaZhuang, 125 Km south of Beijing, 155 Km west of TianJing. There are 25 counties and cities under its advministration, with total population of 11 million and area of 22,000 square Km. BaoDing is a city with clear four seasons, year average temperature is 12.3 C and year average rain falls is 571 mm. With a long history BaoDing has many historic relics all over its region.

Today, we will go on the bus to BaoDing. BaoDing is famous for longevity. The average life-span is 4.6 years longer than that of the whole nation. The people here go in for sports and martial arts. They master very good health-care methods, such as medicinal drink, medicinal food, medicinal bathing and QiGong. Now BaoDing has been chosen by Ministry of Tourism as the national special route of health-care tour....

In this city every year there is one day for 'The Festival of Respecting the Seniors and Promoting Health' -- it is a big festival every year.

Seniors everywhere are dedicated to various form of exercises.

On this occasion, we were asked to participate in the exercise of rolling metal balls with one hand.

It is very natural to see Seniors to participate in various exercises with the young folks.
